At Always Consult we like to do something a little different when it comes to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
Carol Ewels and Sheila Henshall took part on the 5K Cancer Research Race for Life event on 21st May 2017.”It was a fantastic atmosphere and at times very moving” said Carol, “We enjoyed the walk and raised money for a very worthwhile cause, what a great way to spend a Sunday morning”.
CSR isn’t just about environmental issues, it’s also taking part in community projects and doing what we can to help others.
Our charity of 2017 is The Severn Hospice. By suggesting a donation for refreshments when learners attend our training courses at Upton Magna we have so far raised over £70 since March this year. It works well for us, we always offer free refreshments but our delegates are always generous and are more than happy to donate for such a worthy cause.
It doesn’t matter how small or large the organisation, as business owners we can all play our part in ensuring our social responsibilities are met in some way.
Social responsibility is the idea that businesses should balance profit-making activities with activities that benefit society; it involves developing businesses with a positive relationship to the society in which they operate.
Society benefits, and so does the business. Staff feel good about working with an ethical employer. The company itself enjoys enhanced reputation and trust, which as we know, is likely to have a positive effect on the bottom line in future. It’s a real a win-win situation!
Of course, we’re no strangers to win-win situations at Always Consult. When we coach people for success, we win, candidates win and their employers win. Contact us today for details of the courses we can offer – come and join our happy band of winners!
