Always Consult was delighted to once again support the Young Enterprise project in Shropshire, for the 7th year running.
The scheme attracts teams of budding entrepreneurs from schools in the region, who begin planning their businesses during the previous autumn, taking innovative ideas and, with help and support, turning those ideas into professional business plans, and then implementing those plans, forming real, trading small businesses.
One of the acid tests is when the teams take the products of those businesses into the community, pitching their wares to the general public in a series of trade fairs that take place in shopping centres around the county. This is when the young entrepreneurs get some unfiltered feedback on their creations, and must be a valuable (if sometimes harsh) reality check of what it is like to “do business” in the real world.
The final stage of each year’s scheme is when judges, including established business people, assess each team and their business, with awards being given out at the “celebration event” evening, this year held on 3rd May at the Park Inn by Radisson, Telford
The winner of the Always Consult “Best Customer Interaction” award, was “La-Di-Dah” from Shrewsbury Girls School.
The overall winner, “Umbrellabags”, go on to the West Midlands final at the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park.
Congratulations to all who valiantly took part in this inspiring project.
